GPS Tracker's Components

A monitoring network consists of a GPS satellite, a hardware monitoring unit, wireless networking, a computer, an emulator, and often a signal receiver and a GPS API tracking vehicle. A car tracker typically has the following features, to be more precise:

Here are the components of GPS Trackers

  • Smart package (a single GPS tracker or a cell and receiver)

  • The Machine Sealed Box

  • Car adapter (to connect the GPS device to a network onboard)

  • Battery built-in or uninstall

  • Application Management

  • User-Server

  • Network gateway
A monitoring device can operate in two ways: active or passive. Active tracking provides an object's real-time orientation, while passive tracking tracks the object's position at fixed time intervals and uses trilateration to determine the distance between the reported points. The GPS system requires additional memory for passive tracking. Still, all of these methods of monitoring are important for traffic control that relies on the location and movement of vehicles.
